People don't have the time to buy, sell or rent their properties and turn to real estate agents. Buying, selling and renting property for people is what real estate agents do. Similarly they help real estate developers to sell or rent the homes or apartments they are constructing. Some real estate dealers deal exclusively in buying and selling properties for their clients. Real estate agents also deal only in property rentals, in the UK they are called 'Letting agents.
