Your cars brake wear indicators are meant to make noise when they wear down as a warning that brake repair is necessary. Noise is not the only signal your car sends you if brake repair becomes necessary. Have you noticed your brake light on after you have released your parking brake. If so, have your brake fluid level checked as soon as possible; an illuminated brake light typically alerts the driver that the brake fluid level is low. If you see a light amber colored liquid pooling underneath your car, chances are that that is leaking brake fluid.
