Bio bags are available in many different sizes that are suitable for household use. Small sized bags are ideal for kitchen composting bins; in fact, the entire contents of the bin, bag and all, can be lifted out and put into a home compost pile. The compostable bag and its contents stay together. Bio bags also come in sizes that accommodate standard kitchen trash containers and lawn and leaf waste. (Think about it: does it really make sense to kill trees for paper bags to collect their leaves?) And, for people with pets, there are bio bags specifically designed to collect pet waste.
